Following the great success of « Travel WEAST » exhibition in April celebrating the artistic expansion of the Continent, Attijariwafa bank Foundation continues its artistic program and proposes a new exhibition entitled «Large Formats in Attijariwafa bank Collection, 1980-2000 », at the Actua Art space, from August 15 to September 30, 2019.
This exhibition is an opportunity to celebrate a generation of artists who flourished in the 1970s-1980s, claiming painting as a subject in its own right and inventing new pictorial universes that seeking liberation and distinction from cultural heritage of signs and symbols advocated by their predecessors in the 1960s.
It honors Mohamed Abouelouakar, Amina Benbouchta, Fouad Bellamine, Mohamed Bennani, Hassan El Glaoui, Fatima Hassan El Farouj, Saad Hassani, Abderrahman Meliani, Najia Mehadji, Houssein Miloudi, Abdelkébir Rabi and Tallal.
« Large formats in Attijariwafa bank collection, 1980-2000» privileges works of very large dimensions and specific commands to better understand this prolific period, which corresponds within Attijariwafa bank group, to the rise of a true conscience and to a strong commitment to the revitalization of the arts.
