Casablanca, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 - The Attijariwafa bank Foundation organized from June 17 to 21, the 13th edition of the scientific concentration week, as part of its program of support for public preparatory classes «Prestigious Schools for All».
This global program, set up since 2007 by the Attijariwafa bank Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research (MENFP), aims to improve the performance of students in public preparatory classes and to increase their chances of joining prestigious French schools.
The scientific concentration week is organized every year for the benefit of students of scientific preparatory classes from Moroccan public centers (CPGE), eligible for oral exams to access French engineering schools.
This year’s edition, which took place at Al Akhawayn University, partner of this action initiative since its launch, has benefited 102 students eligible for the French engineering schools (Polytechnic, ENS, Centrale Supélec and Mines Ponts), selected in order of merit, from among those eligible from public preparatory classes throughout the Kingdom. It should be noted that the number of Moroccan students eligible for French engineering schools continues to show an upward trend.
Thus, in a favorable framework for revisions, the students benefited from an oral simulation program meticulously designed by the pedagogical director and provided by twenty high-level teachers selected by the Ministry of National Education. This program, which integrates the various competitive examinations (mathematics, physics/chemistry, English, Arabic, French, TIPE and ADS) has helped to strengthen their preparation for them.
At the end of this week, the students will go to France for the oral tests of the competitive examination which starts the week of June 24 in Paris and will be spread over 4 weeks.
It should be noted that Attijariwafa bank Foundation’s comprehensive program for preparatory classes «Prestigious Schools for All» includes:
1. The organization of two concentration weeks for the benefit of students in commercial and scientific preparatory classes;
2. The equipment of libraries in books and management tools as well as the contribution to the training of librarians;
3. The exclusive support to the AMGE Caravan, for the orientation of students enrolled in the Kingdom’s public preparatory classes.
Through this flagship global program and in particular the organization of the concentration weeks, whose benefits have been proven and approved throughout the editions, the Attijariwafa bank Foundation reaffirms its commitment to support sectors of excellence.
